Anglers can individually text, send entry form or e mail Joe Connolly this will guarantee that you will be in the boat draw as it will be date stamped. 2.22 Bait Fishing : A maximum of two single hooks may be used. Each hook must be a separate single hook and must be free swinging. Positioning of hooks may be spaced on the trace above or below the weight.
Pirks : Must be fitted with one free swinging hook (single, double or treble) . A second single hook (baited or artificial) may also be fished simultaneously (DOUBLE OR TREBLES CANNOT BE BAITED.
ONLY A HOOK WITH A SINGLE POINT MAY BE BAITED)
Casting…allowed BUT lure must stay below and outside the gunwale i.e. underhand casting only.
Fish hooked forward of the gills are eligible for points.
Fish hooked by more than one angler are eligible for points but only if one of the anglers have a fish in the mouth not two.
Minimum size for Cod, Ling, Coalfish & Pollack 36cm no limit to number of Cod, Ling, Coalfish & Pollack caught.
Minimum size of ALL other species 20cm (Mackerel do not count). A maximum of 15 fish will count. Each of these fish gets a black token worth 2 points.
Cod, Ling, Coalfish & Pollack from 36cm to 49cm are awarded a green token worth 4 points.
Cod, Ling, Coalfish & Pollack over 50cm are awarded a red token worth 7 points.
The usual 100 points for the top angler on each boat system will be used. A tie will be decided on the most fish caught
All fish for the table must comply with the MAFF sizes and any fish being kept for the table the tail must be cut before trace goes back in water.
REGISTRATION 12:45 TO 13:30 BOATS LEAVE FISHING TIMES 6 hrs MUST BE BACK IN HARBOUR FOR 19:30HRS
